Is Group Movement Right for You?
New, worsening or unclear symptoms should generally be assessed before beginning a class.
A physiotherapy appointment can help identify your current capacity, goals, limitations, and the level of movement support that is appropriate.
Classes support movement. Physiotherapy helps identify the right starting point.

Why Community Matters
Progress is easier to sustain when movement becomes consistent.
Community provides accountability, shared goals, social connection, and encouragement—helping movement become a natural part of your routine over time
The goal is not comparison. The goal is supported consistency.
Consistency creates the conditions for change.
Accountability
Having a scheduled session and familiar faces creates a soft commitment that makes it easier to stay consistent over time.
Connection
Moving alongside others with shared goals supports motivation, encouragement, and the social dimension of sustained movement.
Consistency
Structured group movement helps you maintain the frequency and regularity that builds capacity and reduces the gap between what your body can do and what life asks of it.
Together, But Individual
Exercises can be adjusted according to your ability, symptoms, and goals, so you can move in a group setting while still respecting your own body.
Together does not mean the same.
Together

Individual
personModified range, load, intensity, pace, and position based on your body.
How Often Should You Move?
Progress is built through repeated, appropriate input, matched to your phase, tolerance, symptoms, and daily capacity. There is no single right amount for everyone.
Consistency creates the conditions for change.

How Group Movement Fits
Our role within the exercise community is specific.
Personal training, general Pilates, gym training, sport, and other movement settings can all play a valuable role in fitness, strength, confidence, and long-term health.
At Physio by Design, group movement is designed for people who need a more guided level of support, including those recovering from injury, managing symptoms, rebuilding capacity, returning to activity, or working around medical history or physical limitations.
The aim is not to keep you dependent on us. The aim is to help you build the capacity and body literacy to move well in other settings when the time is right.
The goal is not to keep you here. The goal is to help you move well wherever you go.
